UK Visit Visa – An Overview

The UK visit visa is officially referred to as the UK Standard Visitor Visa. With a Standard Visitor visa, you can do any of the following in the UK:

The earliest that you can apply is three months before the date of your intended travel to the UK. A Standard Visitor visa costs £95 for up to 6 months. Generally, you can stay in the UK for up to six months as a standard visitor. You might be able to apply for a longer stay under certain circumstances. A long-term visit visa (multiple entries) visa for the UK allows multiple visits of up to six months at a time across a period of two years, five years, or ten years.

When to Apply

Long-Term Visitor Visa

If you need to visit the country for a longer period, you can apply for the long-term Standard Visitor visa with a duration of either 2, 5, or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of 6 months during every visit.
